I love coloring in and I love positive quotes and affirmations – so I combined them into something that I recently discovered: GROWTH MINDSET COLORING PAGES.

But what is a growth mindset?

Someone with a ‘growth mindset’ has trained their mind to be open to continuous learning and development. This mindset makes it possible for the person to look for opportunities, consistently work hard, never give up, always do their best, and keep trying new things. Some people with a growth mindset are Elon Musk and Oprah Winfrey.

Growth mindset coloring pages have a positive growth mindset quote that can be colored in. The aim is to spend time thinking about the quote and how you can apply it in your life as you color it in. Growth mindset quotes are things like ‘I ask for help when I need it’ and ‘All things are difficult before they are easy’.

Here are some free growth mindset coloring pages to download – just click on the pictures you like to open the PDF file in a new tab, then print it directly from there or save it for later. Each coloring page has a growth mindset quote, with pictures or simple mandalas to color in.

These pages are perfect for: PreK. K, first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), fourth (4th), fifth (5th), sixth (6th), seventh (7th), eighth (8th), ninth (9th), tenth (10th), eleventh (11th), and twelfth (12th) levels. Even young adults and adults can use these growth mindset coloring pages!

I’ve included a description and symbolism for each coloring page, along with personal characteristics that relate to the growth mindset quote.

Please note that these are for personal use only (there’s more info on rights at the bottom of this page). Thank you 🙂

How to use these growth mindset coloring pages

There are so many ways to use these coloring pages. Just download and print the coloring pages that you think have an important message. Give these pages to your children or hand them out in class. Have a discussion about the concepts behind a growth mindset and the quotes in the coloring pages. Then give time to color in the pages and think about what you’ve just spoken about.

I’ve included a description and symbolism for each coloring page, along with personal characteristics that relate to the growth mindset quote. These are characteristics that the person coloring in can think about and how to grow these characteristics within themselves. Or they can think of examples of these characteristics and discuss them with the others.

You can hang these coloring pages on bulletin boards and around your classroom as a reminder of how important a growth mindset is and what it takes to keep growing. Or let students take their coloring pages to use them in their binders, paste on their lockers, or put into their agendas.
